float and floating devices for level control switch and level measuring devices
As manufacturers of floaters for level measuring and level control switches we produce floaters of all sizes and metals.
According to your requirements and specifications, we manufacture floaters for a variety of applications, ranging from simple floaters to complex units or miniaturized magnetic floaters. To ensue correct level readings, the floater hinges are fitted according to individual specification.
We are able to TIG-weld floaters from 0.2 mm thickness onwards!!
Compared to plasma welding, TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding provides a more homogeneous welding seam – especially with thin materials such as 0.2mm stainless steel sheets. When materials are exposed to frequent changes in temperature, they are often subject to severe stresses. Here, a TIG-welded seam will remain more consistent.
A practical example: A tank is used for the storage of liquids with a temperature of 5°C. For the cleaning of the tank, a 100°C hot substance is used, afterwards the tank is flushed with 20°C lukewarm water, before again being filled with the 5°C liquid.
Here, the floater is exposed to extreme changes in temperature and has to withstand these extreme conditions – especially in the area of the welding seam of the floater.
Before shipping, every floater is subject to internal and external pressure tests.
Below you see some float-bodies from our production.
All types of floater and level control switches can be manufactured to specific requirements such as acid-resistant, temperature-resistent, heavy-duty, etc.
As float manufacturers, we use the following materials for the production of our float-bodies:
- Aluminium
- Brass
- Copper
- Stainless Steel
- Titanium
- Hastelloy / Alloy
- from a thickness of 0.2 mm onwards
